By Car:
Whitestone Bridge: Van Wyck Expressway (I-678) North to the Whitestone Bridge. Take the Whitestone Bridge to the Hutchinson River Parkway North. Exit at Pelham Parkway West (Exit 3). Proceed west along Pelham Parkway, which becomes Fordham Road. The Bronx Zoo will be on your left and the New York Botanical Garden will be on your right. Stay to the left, and proceed through the the underpass. After traffic light, make a left turn onto Arthur Avenue.

Triborough Bridge: Triborough Bridge to the Bruckner Expressway (I-278) to the Bronx River Parkway. Continue North on the Bronx River Parkway and exit Exit 7W - Fordham Road. The Bronx Zoo will be on your left and the New York Botanical Garden will be on your right. Stay to the left, and proceed through the the underpass. After traffic light, make a left turn onto Arthur Avenue.

Tappan Zee Bridge: NY State Thruway South to the Tappan Zee Bridge. Take Exit 8 onto Route 287 (Cross-Westchester Expressway). Take Exit 3 onto the Sprain Brook Parkway South (to NYC). The Sprain Brook Parkway becomes the Bronx River Parkway. Take Exit 7W - Fordham Road. The Bronx Zoo will be on your left and the New York Botanical Garden will be on your right. Stay to the left, and proceed through the the underpass. After traffic light, make a left turn onto Arthur Avenue.

New England Thruway via I-95: Follow I-95 South to Exit 8C - Pelham Parkway West. Proceed west along Pelham Parkway, which becomes Fordham Road. The Bronx Zoo will be on your left and the New York Botanical Garden will be on your right. Stay to the left, and proceed through the the underpass. After traffic light, make a left turn onto Arthur Avenue.

George Washington Bridge: George Washington Bridge to the Cross Bronx Expressway Eastbound. Exit at the Bronx River Parkway. Follow signs to the Bronx River Northbound.Continue North on the Bronx River Parkway and exit Exit 7W - Fordham Road. The Bronx Zoo will be on your left and the New York Botanical Garden will be on your right. Stay to the left, and proceed through the the underpass. After traffic light, make a left turn onto Arthur Avenue.

Throgs Neck Bridge: Take the Throgs Neck Bridge (I-295) to the New England Thruway (I-95). Follow I-95 South to Exit 8C - Pelham Parkway West. Proceed west along Pelham Parkway, which becomes Fordham Road. The Bronx Zoo will be on your left and the New York Botanical Garden will be on your right. Stay to the left, and proceed through the the underpass. After traffic light, make a left turn onto Arthur Avenue.


By Public transportation:
New York Subway:
#4 or D train to Fordham Road then #12 bus heading east;
#2 or #5 train to Pelham Parkway then #12 bus heading west;

Metro North:
Harlem or New Haven Lines to Fordham Road
Hudson Line to University Heights
Take Fordham Road transportation to Arthur Avenue.
